California Screws Adult Industry with a Condom

The No On B Coalition - Source: AliaJanine.com

The election on November 6 didn't just decide who would run the country for the next four years, it also decided, at least in Los Angeles County, California, that adult stars should use a condom when filming porn and that porn productions would need to seek the reviews of regulators in advance of shooting your favorite sex scenes. Measure B passed with a 56% of the votes. So if you want to film a porn in Los Angeles California, you either use a condom, or film it somewhere else. Now the AIDS Healthcare Foundation is looking to take the measure statewide, ensuring the fight may soon come to the entire porn production industry in the state.  If you don't use a condom while filming in California, pretty much your ass is grass and the California state government is the lawnmower.

Yet again the porn industry has been used like a whore, to bolster the popularity of some demigod looking to profit by making it look like they are doing what's in the best interest of the people. These people, who more than likely watch porn themselves, but don't want anybody to know because it might not look good to the people they are trying to impress, have chosen to further use taxpayer money recklessly by making a law that we don't really need. Oh sure they argue that they are doing what's in the best interest of the people but what they don't tell you is that they don't really care they are just trying to make themselves look good so that they can get what they want from you. They pretty much want to put themselves in a good position so that they could sneak some hidden agenda past you without you knowing. The whole thing is a bunch of smoke and mirrors if you ask me.

I've seen numerous arguments from these so called 'do gooders' talking about how Measure B is good for the taxpayers because porn stars, who have to go through periodic testing already and pay for it out of pocket, cost the taxpayers money when they have to be treated for some STD or virus that may or may not been acquired filming a scene because producers of porn don't provide health insurance. What they fail to tell you is that everyone in the adult industry are taxpayers too. And if what they say is true wouldn't it be more than likely that those in the adult industry as taxpayers are actually paying for their own treatment? I would think so, it's only common sense. Plus, I'm sure that a majority of the performers actually care a lot about their own health, and even their earning potential, to make sure that they are able to work when they are offered it. I don't think they just go to do a scene and not taking into account that there are risks. They know there are and that's why they get tested periodically.

You are more likely to find regular people catching an STD than people that are in porn. The adult industry since the HIV scare in the 1990's has taken it's own measures to ensure that every precaution that can be taken is taken. Producers are requiring that performers get tested before even showing up to film. Plus, the performers themselves make sure that they get tested and that the people that they do the scenes with are tested as well and that they are safe to do a scene with. This is how they make their money and they are damn sure going to make sure that they are able to keep making money. That's what they got into the business for, that and being able to have sex with different people and in different ways. Who wouldn't want to do that, especially knowing that you are less likely to catch something?

And let's talk a minute about the impact that Measure B would have on porn and porn lovers. Back in the 1990's when the whole HIV scare in porn crippled the industry, producers, trying to keep business going strong, started requiring porn stars use condoms in filming. Needless to say sales dropped and the quality of porn along with it. Those who enjoy porn, myself included, lost interest because when they had to pause to put on a condom it killed my hard on and the whole mood. It was like "I want to fuck you right now baby but wait a minute let me put on a condom" or "I want you to put that dick in me baby so put your condom on."(And yes, I've actually heard them say that in a porn from the 1990's) That killed the whole mood for me. Wouldn't that kill it for you?

Now, I'm not saying that I'm against safe sex, that's not what I'm saying at all but anybody with a brain knows that there are always risks to having sex whether you wear protection or not. Condoms have been known to bust during sex. They are not one hundred percent effective. So what happens if the condom does bust during sex? Then you're pretty much back where you started from. So either way there's exposure and risk.

Getting back to watching and buying porn. Would you want to watch a porn where they had to wear condoms? I don't know about you but I sure don't. If I bought a porno and in it I saw them using condoms I would want my money back because that's something that I don't expect when looking at porn. Plus, using condoms would mean that you won't be seeing blowjobs and pussy eating two of things that make porn great. And what about the cumshot? You won't be seeing that either because most likely if they are being forced to use condoms in porn, they are saying that cumshots are also out of the question. So say goodbye to seeing a hot chick giving a blowjob and getting cum on. Say goodbye to pussy eating and anything else about porn that turns you on because Measure B has put an end to that.

I've had the chance to talk to some of my friends that are in the business and they hate Measure B. I agree with them, I hate it myself. Measure B is just a waste of time and money. It serves no real purpose and probably would cost a lot more to enforce. What are they going to do have some "porn cop" standing there to make sure that they use condoms when filming? If they do that would cost money and most likely that money would be coming out of the taxpayers' pockets.

What surprises me is that they even put this crap on the ballot and what surprises me more is that people actually voted in favor of Measure B. This thing shouldn't have even made it to the ballot in my opinion. The Adult industry has been doing well on it's own by making its own regulations. They don't need the government trying to tell them how to run their business. I mean who wants to be told that they should have sex this way not that way? Next they'll be telling you that doggy style is against the law and the only way you can have sex is missionary.

I think it's stupid to have people vote on something that pretty much doesn't affect them at all. The only ones that it affects are those who are in the adult business. My question is what the hell does whether or not they use condoms in porn have to do with the general population? Also, why is the general population voting on something that doesn't have a damn thing to do with them? Having people vote on Measure B is like having people vote on what color you should paint your house. It doesn't have anything to do with them. Measure B in any way doesn't affect the general population.

What pisses me off about the whole thing is that the porn industry is being used to further some idiotic assholes' agendas for trying to make themselves look good. Also, the fact that it's a waste of time and money. Plus, the fact that it is trying to stifle freedom of speech and expression. It's making it hard for people who like being in the adult industry to make a living and that is dead wrong. It's taking money out of the pockets of people who aren't out there selling drugs, killing people or even committing a crime.

It further pisses me off that with all the things going on in the world that really need our attention these people who we have elected are concerned about how they film porn when they should be worried about things that affect the general population, something that matters. These assholes always target the adult industry when their popularity is not as good as they want it to be. Seeing these people put something on the ballot like Measure B makes me wonder what the hell is wrong with them. It makes me question everything they do and their position.

I don't live in California but if I did, I sure as hell would refuse to vote on bullshit like Measure B. And if I was in the porn business, which I hope to be someday, I damn sure wouldn't want anybody to tell me how I should film my porn. I would be pissed if some government official would come and tell me that I couldn't film porn unless I use a condom. I'm sure those assholes wasn't saying that when they were jacking off to porn in their offices which, considering on how much they target porn, they must be doing when their asses should be actually doing the job that we pay them for.

And I think whoever dumbass idea it was to put this crap on the ballot must be some little dick bastard, who's pissed off because their dicks too short and doesn't work or they can't get laid to save their life. I don't know but I do know one thing they are definitely full of shit. They are probably those people that you see who are always trying to get laid but don't, then get upset that everybody else is getting laid. Either way who's ever idea it was is full of shit. Maybe they should pay for fuck and then they'll be ok.

As for my friends in the industry and everybody in the industry that's against this measure you have my support 100%. I think what has been put on you is a grave injustice and it should be corrected. It's a damn shame in this day in age that people are so damn naïve and childish. And what makes it even worse is that these people are even being listened to and followed. California has stepped in a pile of shit with passing Measure B. They'll see that when the revenue from porn decreases and the tax money that helps to fund the state government to wane. I don't think they realize that people in the adult industry are taxpayers too.

I support you because just like other people I love porn and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Hell, I would yell it from the mountain tops, I don't care. Porn shows the joy and the beauty of sex. It helps everybody explore their sexuality and that's something that is a beautiful thing. Porn is entertaining and it can be educational. I know it was educational for me at least.

California should hold another election repealing Measure B. There's no question that this is unconstitutional and unneeded. It serves as much purpose as pissing the wind. It does no good at all. It's not a help it's a hurt. It's not up to the general public to say how somebody should have sex or even tell the adult industry that they should use condoms. That's an issue that should be settled by those concerned in that issue and they are the people in the adult industry. They are the ones who have the right to decide this because they are the ones that are taking all the risks in doing their work. California has no right to take that away from them.

There should be a petition to repeal Measure B. The people wasn't rightfully informed how it would affect them. They were lied to by people who wanted to benefit from the passing of it. All the facts were not stated and the people were maliciously misled about the issue. Measure B was used as a means to discredit the adult industry, it's products and people for no reason but to satisfy the hunger for power over how people can make a living. It serves no purpose and it could cause substantial loss for those inside of the industry and those who enjoy the products of the adult industry. It is a violation of human rights and a waste of resources to enforce a law that not only violates the rights of the people afforded to them by the Constitution of the United States, but also puts the government in a position that it shouldn't be in at all and has no right to be in at all. It is not up to the government to determine whether or not people in the adult industry should implement the use of condoms. The government may have the right to ensure that there are safe working conditions but not to the point that it would violate the rights of the people involved.

Like, I said before Measure B is a load of crap. If we continue to let bullshit laws like this happen, before long it's going to be some more bullshit laws to follow. Who knows what it will be next. It might not be porn, it might be something even more stupid like you can't have sex on Sundays or better yet you can only have sex once a week in your bed in the missionary position with a condom even if you are married and have a witness there to make sure that you're not breaking that law. Those who proposed that Measure B be put on the ballot in California have gone too far. They didn't take into consideration the negative effects that this would have on those people who they claim that they were trying to protect, maybe they did and just didn't care because it was something to make it look like they were actually doing their jobs. I don't know what the reason was all I know is that they went after the porn industry with malice. They went after the porn industry because it was an easy target. Every time some religious right wing politician, so called clergyman, or public figure gets a hard on for popularity the porn industry is always the first target and that shit needs to stop. Laws are to be made based on common sense and logic not bullshit and more bullshit. If some of these idiots would pull their heads out of their asses they would see that. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one though because it's more than likely that it won't happen. They'll just go on bullshitting the people to get what they want. So it's up to us to actually use common sense. It's up to us to think for ourselves and not let them manipulate us.

I love porn just like I'm sure you do and I like it just the way it is - condom free, pussy eating, dick sucking and all. I love seeing cumshots, squrting and sex in various places. I love the expression of sexual gratification and satisfaction. I love seeing the many positions that we always want and enjoy to do. I love seeing women that I would love to fuck, getting licked and pounded. I love the different scenarios. I love the ideas that I get from it. I love how I get a hard on from watching. Boy/Girl, Threesomes and Orgies. I love that shit and I love porn. We said earlier that the election of Obama was a Victory for Porn, but it's just too bd teh rest of the country didn'f follow suite.

I hope that those in the industry continue to fight to repeal Measure B. I hope they fight it and win, even if they have to go to the Supreme court with it. I'll still support them because they got a raw deal. California screwed them with a condom, no lube or nothing. They just stuck it up the adult industry's ass. I'm tired of seeing the adult industry raped by these fucktards and I'm sure you are too. If you live in California, and you love porn, I urge you to get on the phone, the net or however you communicate with your senators, congress people, and government officials and let them know how you feel. Let them know that you like your porn the way it is and to leave it alone. Let's stand with the adult industry and help them fight this injustice.
