Playboy

Playboy
Well, it's the end of an era with Playboy. They've decided to go a little more mainstream and not show nudity in their magazine anymore. While it was a surprise to me at first, the more I thought about it, the more I guess it made sense to do something like this. Playboy, since the start of the internet really, has been slowly going down hill as far as subscribers goes. They're down to 800,000 from a high of over 7 million in 1972. It's the same with a lot of print media. Maxim has been going down as of late. FHM isn't even sold in the States anymore, you have to order it from the UK. Men's magazines are on a slow decline to death, and Playboy is just trying everything they can to stop that from happening. I don't want to blame everything on the internet, but I think you can blame most things on it. Especially Facebook. Man, fuck Facebook.

Death and Porn

Who's porn was all of this?
Recently, I've been in some pretty heavy conversations, which is a big difference for me. Why they use black for most lingerie, even though it can't be that slimming because a G-String doesn't cover anything, is usually as deep as I try to get. But, there was a death in the family recently, and I started to think about what's going to happen when I finally kick the bucket.

Weird Playboy Moments

Weird Playboy Moments
With the recent bad news of Phyllis Diller's passing, you get to hear all the stories about her life, just as you would with any celebrity that passes. With Phyllis though, there was one story that came out that was kind of interesting to me. It turns out that Phyllis was photographed for a Playboy spread that was taken some years ( decades ) back. The reason why they did it, was to make a 'funny' spread that people could laugh at, but it was never published because she came out looking too hot.
