For me it's about clarity rather than size, and these are as clear and perfect as they can possibly get. If you like screencaps better, they've got 'em too, but they are a little blurry like most screencaps are. They're 640 x 480 pixels and they look pretty good other than the requisite blurriness. There are about 1000 of these in each update, and again you have the option to click each one, flip through them, view a slideshow, or get the zips. Works for me.
